Playing Around

I had lots of fun yesterday playing in the kennel with Shoogie and Max. Then we played in the yard off leash. My Mom doesn't even get nervous about that anymore. I listen really well, better than they do! We played until I was tuckered out and crashed. I hope we can do it again today!!

Early Xmas Present

My mom wouldn't let me go outside and hang out with Max and Shoogie because it was too cold. Soooo she went out and bought me a jacket. She also got me some socks to keep my feet from scratching the hard word floors when I get excited and run in circles.

Then, my Grandpa said the coat still wouldn't be warm enough so he gave me a really cool Harley Davidson thermal shirt for underneath it. I was so warmy and toasty and I finally got to go out and play with my friends.

Hurry up, let me in!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Well it's finally arrived. Turkey day!!! I'm at my Grandma's for a few days with my Mom and Dad. The Great-Grandparents are coming too. They love me. Well except for that time they yelled because I was waking up Great-Grandma by jumping on her chest and desperately trying to scratch that stupid blanket off of her face. They laughed about it later though. They should be here soon, I'm so excited.

I have a lot to do today so I'll leave you with some Thanksgiving boxers...

Look closely, there's a Boxer stalking this juicy turkey.
Be stealthy buddy, they'll never know it was you!!

Small setback

Well, today was my second day home alone by myself and we had a minor setback. My Mom came home mid-day and hung out again but when she let me outside I didn't have to poo. Well after she left I did so I poo'd in the house. I knew it was wrong but nobody was there to let me out. It's THEIR fault. I tried to eat it before they got home but it tasted really bad!!! I'll try harder tomorrow.

On another note, here's my new toy from Georgia.
Thanks, Georgia I'm so glad you don't like the taste of rubber!

BUCKEYES!!

Good job Buckeyes!!

Way to whoop on Michigan today!

Early Turkey Day

Today Mom made a turkey for us and a few friends. She gave me something new this year. A nice, juicy turkey neck, heart and liver. Yum yum. I was a little scared at first and just licked it for a while. Then I took the heart to my crate and ate it up. I made short work of the neck and liver after that. It was sooooo good. Thanks, Mom!! Oh, and Happy Birthday too!

All went well, yeah!!!

So my Mom left me out of my crate while she went off wherever she goes every day. She came home mid-day to check on me and have lunch with me, then off she went again. So....about 7 hours on my own with a little break mid-day and all went well. I didn't chew on anything or eat anything I wasn't supposed to or go potty in the house. They were so proud they were beaming!! I'm a rockstar!

Here's a little baby-tongue for not believing in me!

Two Nosed Puppies or Cleft Palates?

Two noses are better than one! LOVE the teeth, girls!!

Tomorrows the big day!!!

My mom has decided I'm grown up enough to be trusted out of the crate for the day. (She said something about rather having me "mess up" the apartment than the house) Tomorrow she is going to leave me out and come home at lunch to hang out with me and check on how things are going. I keep telling her she doesn't have anything to worry about.

And then she reminded me of this....I, of course, reminded her that was 9 months ago, I was immature then and I just wanted to see out of the window. If they would have just left the blinds up like they do now I wouldn't have had to chew through them to see.

So the blinds will be up tomorrow and Mom will be super impressed by my maturity when she gets home.

Plast from the past....My friend Bailey

Bailey and I are great friends. We laugh, cuddle and tell secrets.
This was back in Sept. 2007.

Weather

It's getting very, very chilly here lately. I only go out to do my business and most of the time I don't even make it off of the concrete to do that. My moms a little mad about that but Hey, you try to do your business with the wind whipping you around. It's kinda tough! Maybe Santa will get me a cozy sweater for Christmas. I can't wait!!!

All by myself...

Soooo, the humans left me alone in the apartment outside of my crate again last night for a good 3+ hours! They came home and did the baby talk thing and walked all around checking for damage. Of course, there was none. I spent the whole time zooming around, upstairs, downstairs, over the couch, upstairs, downstairs, over the couch.... I don't know when they're going to learn that I'm a GOOD GIRL! Hopefully they'll smarten up soon and I can be done with the crate for good!

Since the first snow of the season happened here yesterday, I thought I'd break out these old pics of me playing in the snow, (my FIRST snow) last year. This was during that big blizzard that dumped 2 ft of snow in 24 hours which is unusual for Columbus....enjoy!

I don't know what this stuff is...but its FUN!!
"No, I don't want to come inside!"

Getting ready to catch snowflakes on my tongue....

Our new neighbors

The New House

Mom & Dad keeps jabbering on and on about this new house. Every time they say "yard" they look at me and do that baby talk thing. I'll have to look that one up on Wikipedia. Anyway, here's a pic of our new house.

I'm bored

By the time my people get back home nowadays, it's almost dark out. We can't play with my frisbee or my ball in the backyard for a while anymore, it's too cold, and dark. What's a boxer to do?

Snooze....

This makes me sick to my stomach

Chad Billingsley's Brindle Boxer was among the things stolen during a recent rash of robberies.

SMYRNA, Ga. -- The dog bowls for food and water still sit on the floor of Chad Billingsley's apartment. There are training pads, toys and the empty travel crate with it's door wide open. The newest family member who used all of those items is gone. Someone stole Billingsley's 8-week-old brindle Boxer puppy.

"I can't understand why someone could take a part of someone's family like that. I'd only had him a week, but already I'm so attached to him", Billingsley said.

It happened Thursday around noon at the Magnolia Vinings apartments. Billingsley's girlfriend came home for lunch to let the puppy out and found the front door kicked in and the travel crate open and empty.

According to Cobb County police Det. Wade Wagnon, there were several burglaries in the apartment complex around the same time.

"Most of the time when there's a dog in the apartment that's something that will dissuade a burglar from going inside in the first place, but in this particular case it appears to be that was one of the things they were interested in taking", he said.

The investigator has taken a personal interest in the case, in part because he himself has a boxer that he raised from infancy.

"All we want is to have the person who took the dog turn it into a veterinarian's office", said Det. Wagnon.

The reason they hope someone gets it to a vet is that the puppy just had its ears surgically clipped and is supposed to be on antibiotics and pain medication. The dog still had blue bandages around its head when he was stolen.

"There's a chance they saw the puppy and thought it was a pit bull", said Det. Wagnon.

Instead, they took a family pet that Chad Billingsley was hoping to bring to the new home he's building to be his constant companion.

"I worry about him, wherever he is. It's upsetting, it really is", said Billingsley.
